Welcome Eagle Sponsors

This is BE 08-45, "Captain Hook". He came to us from Homer in 2008 after having a halibut hook caught in his mouth. Unfortunately he'll never be released due to his injuries, but he is recovering well. This guy will make an excellent education bird some where's. This bird is a favorite of many of our clinic volunteers.

These are the eagles that came through Bird TLC so far this year.

BE 09 - 01 - Unfortunately, his condition never improved. Whatever he ingested effected his organs and he wasn't ever going to improve. He was put to sleep to put him out of misery.

BE 09 - 02 - This is a large female that's very aggressive. She has some soft tissue damage around her wrist on her right wing. After some Bird TLC R&R, she should be released later this year.

BE 09 - 03 - This an eagle from Kodiak that was electrocuted while trying to perch on an electric (telephone) pole. His prognosis is poor, but only time will tell.

BE 09 - 04 - Came from King Salmon. Toxin. Passed away 2/18.

BE 09 - 05 - Passes away 3/14  from complications from trichomonas.

BE 09 - 06 - Passed away on its trip to Bird TLC from Sand Point.

BE 09 - 07 - Was found tangled in fishing tackle in Kodiak. Passed away 4/24.

BE 09 - 08 - Was found tangled in fishing tackle in Kodiak and was covered in some type of light oil.

BE 09 - 09 - Was found tangled in fishing tackle in Kodiak.

GE 09-10 - Golden Eagle found in Kodiak, possible toxin. Passed away 4/25

BE 09-11 - Found at Cold Bay with a badly fractured wing. Passed away 4/25.

BE 09 - 12 - Aggressive mature bald eagle was pulled from the waters near Kodiak by fishermen. It also has pox lesions on its lower jaw.

Bird TLC.... For the Birds!

With your support, we will continue to provide primary medical care and rehabilitation for sick, injured, or orphaned wild birds; and to provide environmental education for the public through live wild bird programs.
